Born in 1905, Hermann Blumenthal was considered one of the most talented sculptors of his generation. However, his early career was hampered after 1933 and ended as early as 1942 with his death in Russia. On the basis of selected letters, life documents and photographs from the artist’s estate, the tragic and relational life of the artist is presented.
