Botanical Watercolour Workshop

The artist Mira O’Brien has been running drawing workshops since 2011 Berlin Drawing Room, a project space for artistic endeavour, which she also co-founded. As part of the exhibition Hoda Tawakol. ROOTS in the garden of the Georg Kolbe Museum, this time the focus is on floral and botanical themes. Learn how to select a flower or plant, make a line drawing and apply watercolours. The result is not only a botanical illustration, but also a new relationship with a plant. The artist will show you examples and guide you step by step through the individual work steps. No previous experience with watercolours is required. Materials are provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own watercolours if you have them.
