Easter holiday workshop

SWIRL OF COLOURS, RUSH OF FORMS. On noting movement and storytelling in textiles.

In a five-day holiday workshop, participants will follow in the footsteps of dancer and choreographer Noa Eshkol. They will translate movement and emotion into drawings and experiment with coloured paper and fabrics. How can a dance be recorded and a movement made legible?

The children discover and try out the „Eshkol-Wachmann Movement Notation“ in the Georg Kolbe Museum and follow the frenzy of pattern shapes and materials. Movement notes and small works on paper will be developed and a temporary work will be created together from fabric remnants, inspired by the exhibition.
