Everything that defines us. Collective artistic practice with textiles.
Everything that defines us. Collective artistic practice with textiles.
The workshop focusses on the topics of community and belonging. Together, the pupils create artistic thought maps using fabric, thread and drawing. The focus is on the design process as a collective experience.
Firstly, the pupils explore the current exhibition by Israeli dancer and artist „Noa Ehkol. No Time To Dance“ and learn about her work as a choreographer and visual artist. In the workshop, the technical and creative basics of dance, notation and art will be discussed and tested. Noa Eshkol’s textile works are at the centre of the students‘ artistic practice.
Children and young people use artistic methods to explore and embrace their own identity and diversity within the community. This experiential space shows options for action and attempts to strengthen community acceptance.
