Building insect boxes

There is much to discover in the Georg Kolbe Museum, a former artist’s studio from the 1920s. The sculptor drew, painted and worked with clay and plaster on his sculptures in this idyllic place in the middle of the pine forest. On three Sundays in summer, the garden of the Georg Kolbe Museum is transformed into a workshop and invites families* to engage in artistic activities.

Based on the works of artist Anne Duk Hee Jordan, colourful insect boxes are built from cardboard and various papers under the guidance of art educators Janna de Haen and Sibylle Baier.
