Lecture by Elisabeth Heymer: Tilla Durieux in the spotlight of Art Criticism

In addition to the pictorial representations, theatre reviews of the time in particular can provide information about the fascination of Tilla Durieux. The reviews give an impression of the actress’s performance style and her specificity. How does Durieux’s acting reveal a modern, new theatre?

Every first Sunday of the month is Berlin’s Museum Sunday and museum admission is free for all visitors. At 13:00 there will be a guided tour in English through our exhibition Tilla Durieux. A Witness to a Century and Her Roles. At 12:00 there will be a tour about the garden and the architecture and 14:00 there will be a guided tour in the exhibition in German.

Garden table/The sommer workshop

A garden table under the pine trees of the Georg Kolbe Museum invites all people to get creative outdoors and combine community with artistic design. The workshop is a free drop-in offer and no previous experience is required to participate. In June, it’s all about building.

Inclusive Tactile Guided Tour

Art historian and art educator Barbara Campaner leads an inclusive tactile guided tour through the museum’s sculpture garden. Sculptures by Georg Kolbe, the planting concept and the history of the building ensemble will be explored.

Kolbe's Kiez: An Audio Walk for Berlin's Westend

Directly surrounding the Georg Kolbe Museum, the built environment and architecture tell of experiments with different lifestyles and of discourses on urban history.
