Mona Hatoum

With the exhibition Mona Hatoum, three Berlin institutions presented the multifaceted work of the artist in the first large-scale survey of her work in Berlin. The three-part exhibition took place at Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, Georg Kolbe Museum, and KINDL – Centre for Contemporary Art. The exhibition project brought together key works by Hatoum from the performance and video work of the 1980s to varied productions from the last two decades as well as new, site-specific sculptures and installations.

This publication presents a detailed overview of the individual exhibitions. Extensive documentation is complemented by numerous short texts written in collaboration with the artist, which address the background and context of the respective works.
