Opening of the exhibition Mona Hatoum

Mona Hatoum is one of the most influential artists of her generation. Her performances, videos, photographs, sculptures and installations focus on displacement, marginalisation and state control – themes that she explores against the backdrop of both her own biography and current social developments. Opening at the Georg Kolbe Museum as part of Berlin Art, the exhibition Mona Hatoum presents a selection of some 30 works that provide an overview of Hatoum’s output since the 1980s, as well as a number of new works that respond to the location.
